Wii-volution

So I should have prefaced my earlier post with some background.  I’ve been cleaning my house, prepping to move and whatnot, and with that I found little use for my Gamecube.  I decided the meager $20-30 I’d get for the device warrented a trade, since I can finally play Viewtiful Joe 2 on the Wii anyway.

After calling literally 13 stores, the 14th had it.  EB games on 55th south and Redwood said they’ve got the goods, took my gameboy player and A/V and AC adapter (they wouldn’t take my cube since I lost the little bottom cover thing) and I took my new Wii home.

When I got home, I eagerly checked the mail to find a HUGE catalog from B&H photo, which I proceeded to throw away, along with another treat from the Big Apple: My NY state tax refund!  Bam!  The $135 + $20 of in-store credit runs my Wii purchase down to about $115, after those bloody taxes.  Now, I’m working on my birthday wishlist / my next purchase wishlist so I’ll have something to strive for once I’m outta debt.

Sidenote: I’m not even going to play the Wii till I get to boston really.  I bought it because I didn’t want to have to pack my Gamecube.  Weird logic for sure, but another box already filled with goodness goes a long way over a loose silver gamecube that hasn’t seen much play since I got the Xbox360.
