Tears: Homeostatic for stress

I just found out something…. when you cry you secrete tears that are higher in neurotransmitter and other hormones than regular ol’ dirt-in-the-eye tears.
My boy Daniel Holsinger, former med student, gave me some learnin’ on why crying like a banshee is actually ok.
I did a lot of crying this weekend, and now I really feel better this week. Now, I know the medical background behind the action of stress release. W00t!
