Couric + Bad producing = Bad content, Bad Ratings

The HuffingtonPost has a good piece on why CBS is losing, despite Katie Couric’s anchoring… maybe it’s because their show production is HORRID.

For example, yesterday, NBC led with “Senator has stroke, potentially shifting power in the Senate back to Republicans.”  Good lead, right?  CBS leads with “Holiday shopping: 12 days to go!”

That’s like staying on your local morning show, instead of cutting to network on September 11th.
