2007 Goals and Beyond!
Time for my new set of goals for 2007. (Scroll down for how I did in 2006.) I’m going to include business goals too, because it’ll be a nice reference page for all things Randicular.
Daily Term:
- Read Scriptures (every day!)
- BTF&S (it’s an acronym for a reason.)
- Do a show every single day.
Short Term:
- Quit freelancing all the time, despite the nice cash money.
- Make Tech Check a viable site within the short term timeframe.
- Weekly biz show prep and execution
Mid Term:
- Convince crazy people to quit their jobs and join up with me [June 15th]
- Have enough revenue to get those other crazy folks to join up [June 15th]
- Daily biz show [April-ish]
- Subsequent tri-daily biz show [May-ish]
- Get enough revenue to hire another person. [June '08]
Long Term:
- Start dating (hehe)
- Create a business that looks attractive enough to have an exit strategy (primarily acquisition)
- When said acquisition happens (or IPO, although not realisitc) buy Tonya’s house for her
- Get married properly, etc etc. (notice how it’s number four?!)
Last year, I created a goal page that I plastered on my door so I’d check it every day. It consisted of a few differing goals. I had three mid-term goals I wanted to accomplish.
#1 three blog posts a day
#2 New York by April
#3 Churchy stuff every day/week
Guess which ones I accomplished? If you guessed #2 and #1, you’d be right! Churchy stuff seems to be more difficult than anything material, for a myriad of reasons. I think it’s difficult cause it’s supposed to be a daily thing, as opposed to New York by April (which I reached in January, BTW…) because it’s less concrete.

Some good goals in there. I should steal your list, or set a goal to write down some goals. Which ever is easier.

Speaking of your long-term goals, did she ever call you back?
